Animal Humane Society adoption centers in Coon Rapids and Golden Valley will reopen at noon on Tuesday, May 16. Hundreds of animals waiting at AHS since April 6 will finally be available for adoption — including the nearly 200 dogs who have recovered from canine influenza and are no longer contagious.
AHS is asking dog lovers to attend the Walk for Animals on May 6 without their canine companions this year to prevent the spread of canine influenza. This decision aligns with new guidance released today by the Minnesota Board of Animal Health.
An adorable litter of German Shepherd puppies brought smiles and stress relief to the Minnesota State Capitol on March 7.
