Animal Humane Society is hosting its 53rd annual Walk for Animals on Saturday, May 4. Every year there’s something new (and thousands of adorable noses to boop), but the goal is always the same — help animals in need.
And they have nothing to do with losing weight! Check out these unique commitments you can make to ensure you and your furry friend have an amazing 2023 and beyond!
We ask all AHS adopters to share their adoption stories with us, and since October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, we’re celebrating shelter dogs and all the reasons they make our lives so much better. Read our favorite adoption stories of 2023 (so far).
Just because a dog is wearing is muzzle doesn’t necessarily mean they've bitten someone in the past. The truth behind muzzles — and the dogs who wear them — might surprise you.
AHS is excited to launch a new career training program to train and equip anyone interested in pursuing a career as a veterinary technician in our shelters and clinics. Turn your passion for animal welfare into a career with AHS - learn more about the program and apply today.
Animal Humane Society adoption centers in Coon Rapids and Golden Valley will reopen at noon on Tuesday, May 16. Hundreds of animals waiting at AHS since April 6 will finally be available for adoption — including the nearly 200 dogs who have recovered from canine influenza and are no longer contagious.
