Zelda

Zelda

Zelda (formerly Shirley) came to our home in October of 2005. She was a tiny 11-week-old kitten then, weighing almost 1 pound. She grabbed our hearts the moment we saw her picture on the website, and we hurried to the shelter to come get her. We already had a cat, Mabel, who is a beautiful calico with an enormous heart. Mabel was so lonely after our dog passed away, we were worried about her. She seemed so sad and forlorn, hardly eating and never playing. So we brought Zelda home for Mabel. We joke sometimes that Zelda is Mabel's cat. They couldn't get along better! Every single day is filled with cute kitty cuddle puddles and games. Mabel had kittens in the past (she is spayed now) so when she saw tiny Zelda, her mothering instincts took over. Zelda is in a home surrounded by love and cat toys. She even proved herself to be a wonderful mouse catcher one fall, and we haven't seen a single mouse since then! She loves to play, and sometimes we can even play fetch. Mabel has been so happy and full of life since Zelda came into our home. We are all so happy she joined us! The picture is Zelda, the tabby, enjoying a cuddle with Mabel, our calico, in their cat bed.
