Lucy

Lucy

We adopted Lucy, a German shepherd/chow chow mix, in June of 2010 from the Animal Humane Society in Coon Rapids. (Her name was Miley at the shelter). She is perfect! She moved right in and has been a part of our family since then. We live on water and she loves the pontoon (not the water, which is fine with me, who likes a wet dog?). She had been left at the Animal Humane Society without any background information. We think she was in a loving home. She knew how to sit, play ball and she loves to go for walks, even in the deep snow. She leaps through the drifts and buries her head looking for who knows what. She is a lover, she would lick your face off if you would let her. She loves to travel and did great on our recent trips to Montana and Oregon (3 days in a car both ways). Everyone who meets her loves her and tells her how pretty she is. She had kennel cough when we got her, but that was quickly resolved and she has been healthy ever since. My husband and I are retired so we have lots of time to spend with her and I fear we are spoiling her a bit. But Lucy has no complaints about that.  She gets three walks a day and knows exactly what time she is supposed to go out. We just wanted to share a little bit about our new "family member." We love her!
