Lola

Lola

After spending 3.5 months in a shelter in Oklahoma and a few weeks at Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, "Ming" was adopted in mid-January and was brought to her forever home in Waterloo, IA, where she is the happy companion of her Daddy, a professor and administrator at a local university. "Ming" was renamed "Lola Magnolia" - "Magnolia" after her Daddy's previous, much-loved pet, who passed away at the age of 15.

Her days include a lot of activity: running up and down the stairs in the house, fetching toys, keeping guard while perched atop a mound of pillows in the bay window, driving around the neighborhood seeing all the sights, and sleeping at her Daddy's feet while he works at home. Some days, Lola gets to go to the office, where she charges about barking and playing, or sleeps as her Daddy meets with colleagues. Every night, Lola hops up into the big bed, and she and her Daddy sleep, curled up together! Recently, Lola and her Daddy drove to Texas to visit Daddy's parents and to meet their dog Big Sweetie, Lola's new best friend and playmate.

Lola Magnolia is one of the happiest and most friendly pets her Daddy has ever known. He feels blessed to have found her online, and he encourages anyone who is considering adopting a pet from Animal Humane Society to do so! Thank you for helping Lola get home to her new Daddy!
