Dog found 150 miles from home after 5 months missing

January 24, 2012

Remington is a German Shorthaired Pointer who is now likely sleeping in his Lazy Boy chair in Alexandria, MN.  However, what he was doing for the last five months and how he dog ended up in Woodbury, MN is still an unknown.  The dog was brought to Animal Humane Society's Woodbury site early January. He was underweight, had sores and cuts on him and was in need of some medical attention. A shelter worker felt a connection and made it her mission to find out what happened. That's when a last ditch effort by the dog's owner to place an ad on Craigslist.com allowed Brittany Foley to put the pieces together. Now, Remington was reunited with his owner, Kali Barrett.  Click here to read the Pioneer Press story on this heartwarming reunion.
